Genomics and Data Science Core Facility Vouchers
Supporting genomics, multiomics, and data analysis for biomedical research
Funding Opportunity Description
The WV-INBRE program is providing support for biomedical research projects in the form of vouchers to offset costs incurred in the SMART and/or Data Science core facilities. This solicitation is open to applications from investigators at WV-INBRE Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUIs), Community and Technical Colleges (CTCs) and Lead Institutions (Marshall and WVU).
Program Goal: To allow investigators to generate and analyze new genomics and multiomics data to increase competitiveness of NIH R01, R03 and other investigator-initiated proposals in the biomedical sciences.

Single cell analysis is planned as a future SMART Core service.
Data Science Core Services
- Analysis of existing genomic data
- Bioinformatics analysis

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible Applicants
- Tenure track and tenured faculty at PUIs, CTCs and Lead Institutions(MU and WVU)
- Research track faculty at network partner institutions
- Projects using NGS technologies or analysis of existing data
Not Eligible
- Postdoctoral fellows and students
- Funds already allocated in other grants

Review Process & Criteria
Application Review: Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Previous voucher recipients may also be evaluated based on the outcomes of their previous voucher-supported project.
Responsibilities of Voucher Recipients
Required Activities
- Submit annual progress report with publications and grants
- Present findings at scientific meeting (WV-INBRE Summer Symposium acceptable)
- Complete Undergraduate Student Tracking Form if applicable
- Acknowledge core support in all presentations and publications

- Acknowledge support from SMART Core and/or Data Science Core

- Manuscript publication is highly encouraged
